I mentioned in an old post something about getting accepted to my first craft fair. Well, now I have this cool postcard for the show to put up, and it makes it feel official. I am going to be at the Crafty Wonderland Super Colossal Holiday Sale!
I first read about Crafty Wonderland in Craft and Adorn magazines. I never thought that I would be selling there. It is so cool, hip and funky, so not me. Well, I am kinda cool, but I don’t think I’m all that hip or funky. I am totally not a Portland girl, which is where this sale takes place.
Even with my self doubt about my hipness, I filled out an application, and sent my photos in. I waited for a month, checking my email a record number of times. Finally, I got the email titled "Crafty Wonderland Super Colossal Sale!". An exclamation?! Certainly they wouldn’t put an exclamation in the subject line only to tell me my stuff was not cool enough for their super cool sale. Right? Right! I opened it up, and I was in!
So now I’m trying to get my new studio/craft heaven together, which is a daunting task. I need to be sewing every day, but it’s not happening. I have 7 dresses, two large bags, and two small bags done. I’m thinking this is not enough. Must sew more.
I’ll keep you all posted on my sewing progress, with photos of course. Maybe this is just the boost I need to sew more-a deadline. Off to sew!
